Top LB Prospect Holds ULM Offer

6'2 215 pound Lamin Barrow is one of the top Linebackers in the state of Louisiana. The John Ehret star has picked up five scholarship offers so far but does he have a favorite?

"It's too early to name a favorite right now", said Barrow. I would like to take some visits and check out all the schools first. Right now I am just working out hard and preparing myself for the upcoming football season.

"Everything is going pretty good right now, we will scrimmage John Curtis pretty soon to see where we stand. It's always a good measuring stick for us".

So far Barrow is holding offers from ULM, Ole Miss, SMU, Louisiana Tech, and South Alabama. "I met the ULM coaches and talked to the head coach at their camp but I didn't get to participate. They think I can earn immediate playing time and have a big impact on the defensive side of the ball. I am going to try and set up an unofficial visit soon so I can go up there and check them out".

I know beating Alabama was huge, I have it recorded and watched it a couple of times. ULM is a small program that is on the rise. I think they are going to continue to do good things". They (ULM) are also looking at our running back Deante Triplett(5'10 215).

As a junior, Barrow recorded close to 100 tackles and threw in 6 sacks. "I have a couple of more camps I plan on attending. What about distance from home? "I would like to stay in state, close to home".

The Patriots open the 2008 season on September 5th when they travel to take on St Paul. Lamin has a bench of 330, squat of 475, and runs a 4.6 forty time.
