The last time scout.com talked with Josh, he was on his way to a Houston camp but his dad Doug says it was a short trip. "We got down there and he tweaked a hip flexor so he shut it down and we came back home", said Doug. We did make it up to Louisiana Tech a week later so they could take a closer look at Josh. Coach Dooley basically just solidified that he did have an offer from the Bulldogs".
Josh recently just returned from the LSU 7 on 7 camp and caught the eye of the LSU staff in the process. "Josh tested real well. He turned in a 4.55 forty time and 4.19 shuttle time", said Doug. He had a sit down with Coach Miles and that went real well".
Earlier this summer Josh attended the ULM one day camp held on the campus of Zachary HS and walked away with an offer from the Warhawks. "Josh was a little upset because he didn't test real well for ULM, but they still offered. He had been doing summer workouts and he just did a leg workout the day before which hurt his times".
While Josh is getting plenty of attention, father Doug says he is trying to get his son to take a step back and look things through before making a decision. "It's a big decision but its one that will be Josh's. First and foremost academics will be the #1 thing Josh looks at followed by coaching staff and the character of that staff. The opportunity to play is also something Josh will take a look at".
While Josh holds three offers and is getting looks from LSU and now recently Alabama, narrowing down a favorite is something they really haven't talked about, but an offer from the Tigers could change that, joked Doug.
Stayed tuned to scout.com as we updated Josh's recruitment throughout his senior season.
