Ambrose Makes Big Splash In Debut

Prized 2008 recruit Luther Ambrose didn't disappoint in his first ever college football game for the ULM Warhawks.

Coming out of St James high school, Luther Ambrose was one of the Warhawks prized recruits from the 2008 signing class.

From the minute he signed on the dotted line to the time he set foot on campus, Luther has been the talk of the town. His fast is faster than your fast to the tune of 4.29 forty speed.

The one question everyone kept asking, "Is he going to play as a true freshman"? Standing 5'10 and weighing in at only 166 pounds, Luther is not going to intimidate you with his looks, but you better respect the skills.

In front of 87,000 plus, Ambrose in fact did make his ULM college debut and he started it off with a 30 yard kick off return. He followed that up with a 19 yard kick off return to the ULM 21 following an Auburn field goal.

Ambrose would make his debut on the ULM offense as well. Catching a quick swing pass from Kinsmon Lancaster, Ambrose quickly turned up field and picked up 11 yards and a ULM first down. Luther would finish the night with 2 catches for a total of 16 yards.

Ambrose returned kick offs of 30, 19, 28, and 12 yards for a total of 89 yards and a 22.25 average.

Luther finished the night with 105 total yards which led the Warhawks.
