Sheppard Talks ULM

Marshall offensive lineman Matt Sheppard made the trip East to take at one of the schools who is looking to land his services at the college level.

"To be honest with you, I was completely surprised when I got to ULM. The campus was very nice. I really like how everything is so close together and not spread out everywhere", said Matt Sheppard

Sheppard is being recruited by offensive line coach Steve Farmer. "I talked to Coach Farmer after the game in the locker room. He and Coach Wells talked about my film and how they would be breaking it down. Coach Weatherbie also want's to take a look at it. I feel like they are close to offering me, it would be a relief to get that first offer".

For Sheppard and his father the trip over to ULM was a pretty easy one. "The drive was great, only about two hours from my house to the campus".

Besides the Warhawks, Matt says there are a couple of other schools that contact him from time to time. "New Mexico State and Texas State call every once in awhile and Louisiana Tech but I haven't heard from them in awhile either".

The Warhawks have already received a verbal commitment from Richardson's Andrew Russell are looking to land one more interior lineman and 2 more tackles. Stay tuned to Scout.com as we continue to update Sheppard's recruitment throughout his senior season.
