The Warhawks fell on the road to the Ole Miss Rebels by the score of 59-0 Saturday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium. ULM struggled to move the ball all day mustering just 131 yards of total offense and 7 first downs.
The cold temperatures and gusting winds didn't seem to faze the Rebels as they rolled up 520 yards of offense and 21 first downs. Ole Miss ran the ball 53 times for 350 yards and five rushing touchdowns.
Ole Miss quarterback Jevan Snead only completed 6 passes out of 12 attempts but three went for touchdowns.
The Warhawks had a tough time keeping the Ole Miss pass rush off quarterback Kinsmon Lancaster, sacking the senior 3 times. Lancaster was injured with just under 7 minutes left in the second quarter but did return for one series in the third.
Sophomore quarterback Trey Revell played the majority of the second half but had little success completing just 2/8 passes for 29 yards and was picked off 2 times. Frank Goodin led all ULM rushers with 45 yards on 12 carries while Robert Williams picked up 37 on 6 carries.
A bright spot for ULM was the continued consistent play of Junior linebacker Cardia Jackson. The Monroe native registered 18 tackles in the loss with 12 of those solo tackles.
ULM wraps up the 2008 season when they travel to FIU next Saturday.
