Williams Takes ULM Official

The ULM Warhawks are looking to finish up their search for another wide receiver in the 2009 class. With Belle Chasse wide out Otis Peterson already on board, will Ouachita stand out Brandon Williams lock up that spot?

"I really like the ULM program", said Ouachita Lion Brandon Williams. I have followed them for awhile now and know it's a great place to get an education and have a successful football career.

Williams was greeted by an old friend and Ouachita alumni when he got onto campus. LaGregory Sapp was my host and he was great, I look up to Sapp, he is like a big brother to me. He took me around campus and showed me the ropes.

Brandon (6'2 185) had a terrific 2008 season helping the Lions reach the class 5A semi-finals. Williams caught 40 passes for 639 yards and scored 6 touchdowns.

"I had breakfast with Coach Weatherbie Sunday morning and he just basically told me that I could be a big part of our offensive program and that he would like to see me as a Warhawk".

"I just told Coach Weatherbie that I really wanted to weigh my options and make the best decision for me so that I would have no regrets. I asked him to hold a spot for me that I needed a little more time".

Brandon holds offers from UCONN, ULM, and says UCA has show recent interest in him but has yet to offer.

Stay tuned to Warhawk Nation as we updated Brandon's recruitment.
