Weatherbie(s) Visit Safety Josh Johns

The ULM Warhawks need to add help in the defensive secondary in 2009 and are looking to one of the states best to fill that position in Central high school stand out Josh Johns.

Central safety Josh Johns already has the physical tools to have a successful freshman season at the college level, the question is, who will he be successful for? With now three offers on the table, Josh will be taking some visits in hopes of helping him make his choice.

The Warhawks have been hot on the trail and earlier this week head Coach Charlie Weatherbie and son Jonas Weatherbie in home visited Josh and his family.

"They asked me what I am looking for in a college and I just told them that I wanted a place that feels like home", said Johns.

What is your relationship like with the coaching staff? "It's great, Jonas and I talk all the time. We have a great relationship,I feel very comfortable talking with him.

Josh holds offers from in state schools ULM, Louisiana Tech, and now Louisiana-Lafayette.

What does ULM offer that has Josh's interest? "I took an unofficial visit earlier in the year and really enjoyed it. ULM is a place where I can come in and get early playing time which is important to me".

Another school that has shown interest in Johns is Louisiana State. "LSU seems really interested in me but it's a numbers game there. They are almost full on scholarships and that is something I cannot control. All I can control is what I have. If they don't offer I have three great offers from in state schools where I can get an education and play".

Josh is planning on taking his official visit to ULM on January 9th and 10th.
