Warhawks Offer Bowie Athletes

Bowie high school in Texas is loaded with talented athletes looking to continue their careers at the college level. DE Jarrett Brown and wide receiver Jordan Selexman would like to continue their careers together, will that opportunity come?

In 2008 the ULM Warhawks were devestated with injuries at the defensive end position and lack of depth. Going into 2009 Defensive End is a high priority during the recruiting season as the Warhawks have gone into state of Texas looking for help.

Bowie Vol athletes Jarrett Brown and Jordan Selexman have cleared their schedules in the month of January. The two will be on the road visiting potential schools they can continue their careers.

For the 6'4 237 pound Brown, the offers have started to add up. "I hold offers from Kansas, ULM, Kansas State, Connecticut, Purdue, Fresno State, and Western Kentucky".

I am taking a look at several things when I visit; the football program, their business program, and playing early is high on my list as well", said Brown.

Jarrett finished 2008 with 9 quarterback sacks and looks to have the size and speed to be an immediate impact player off the edge.

Teammate Jordan Selexman (6'3 200) has also picked up a couple of offers and getting interest from several schools. "ULM and Colorado State have both offered me scholarships", said Selexman. Purdue, Houston, and Kansas are also in contact with me weekly but have yet to offer.

Jordan caught 38 passes for over 500 yards and scored 10 touchdowns in 2008 for the Vols. "Warm weather and early playing time are a bonus for me", said Jordan. I like the warm weather and I am looking for a good criminal justice program".

With both Jordan and Jarrett both holding offers from the Warhawks, the opportunity to continue their careers at the college level is available. "Jordan and me are real close", said Jarrett, its something that will play a factor in our decisions.
