ULM Men End Season In Denver 66-57

The ULM men held a 49-45 lead with 7 minutes to go but the Denver Pioneers finished the game on a 21-8 run in a 66-57 victory Wednesday night. For the Pioneers they advance to Hot Springs this weekend while the ULM season comes to an end.

ULM got double digit scoring from Dynile Forbes (16), Malcolm Thomas (10), and Lawrence Gilbert (11) but had no answer for Denver guard Nate Rohnert who poured in 28pts in a 66-57 Pioneer victory Wednesday night.

Trailing for most of the half by as many as 10, ULM cut the lead to 3 at the half 28-25. The Warhawks came out in the second half and started to knock down shots and convert free throws getting themselves back into the game.

The Warhawks looked to be in control when they took a 49-45 lead and had possession of the ball but things quickly turned in favor of Denver. The Pioneers went a huge 21-8 run to end the game and pull away from ULM 66-57 ending the troubled season for the Warhawks.

ULM (10-20) played without starting power forward Rudy Turner who turned his right ankle in last weekends victory over Arkansas State.
