Western Kentucky showed why they were the preseason favorite to win the Sun Belt Conference as they swept the visiting Warhawks this weekend.
Shane Cameron was dealing Sunday afternoon giving up only 2 hits, and striking out 6 in 6 innings of work as Western Kentucky completed a three game sweep of the visiting ULM Warhawks 12-2
The Hilltopper pounded out 15 more hits while holding the Warhawks to just 5 singles and two runs. Matt Collins and Ryan McMillan drove in the only runs for ULM.
It wasn't a pretty picture for the ULM pitching staff as Western Kentucky was able to have their way ripping 42 hits and scoring 34 runs against the Warhawks.
As a team WKU hit .392 in the series going 42/107 while ULM was 19/91 at the plate for a team .208 batting average.
