Love hit a remarkable .667 this past weekend with two home runs and six walks. Two of the walks she drew were intentional as she posted an on-base percentage of .833. She also scored five runs and stole two bases in helping the Warhawks take two out of three contests from North Texas.
Love's batting average for the season is now at .400 and she has scored 18 runs while drawing 17 walks to post an on-base percentage of .526. Her slugging percentage of .717 is also a team-best.
Love becomes the third ULM player ever to receive Sun Belt Conference player of the week honors and the first hitter to do so. Kandace Causey was named pitcher of the week for the first week of April during the 2008 season and Lindsay Rittenhouse received the same honor in February of 2007.
Love and the rest of the Warhawks will be back in action tomorrow when the team travels to Stephen F. Austin for a non-conference tilt before continuing Sun Belt Conference play this weekend at Troy.
