ULM Center fielder Brianna Love was named to the first team All-Sun Belt Conference the league announced Tuesday evening from its New Orleans office.
Love leads the Warhawks in 10 different offensive categories, including the triple crown with a .378 batting average, seven home runs, and 24 RBI. She was also a remarkable 14-for-17 on stolen base attempts in the regular season.
A Garland, Texas, native, Love is on pace to rank among the all-time best in ULM's history in several offensive categories. She recently moved into sixth on the all-time home runs list at ULM with the 17th of her career.
"She comes to the field everyday ready to play," head coach Rosemary Holloway-Hill said. "It is an honor for us to have a first team All-Sun Belt member. Brianna is very deserving because she has proven all season long she is a player of this stature. We are very proud of her."
In addition to her athletic accolades, Love was also named to the Sun Belt Conference All-Academic team. Fellow Warhawks joining Love on the All-Academic team were Robin Biddle, Michelle Farrell-Fink, Elyse Stark, Taylor Renshaw, and Megan Miller.
The Warhawks will be in action tomorrow against Louisiana-Lafayette in the first round of the Sun Belt Conference Tournament at 12:30 p.m. at Lovelace Stadium in Denton, Texas.
