Trojans Take Series With 7-5 Victory

The Troy Trojans take game two over the Warhawks 7-5 clinching the series and sending ULM to their fourth consecutive conference series defeat.

Trailing for the most of the game, the ULM Warhawks rallied in the seventh and eighth innings to tie the game at five a piece but watched Troy score two runs of their own in the bottom of the eighth that would decide the contest.

With the loss the Warhawks drop their fourth consecutive Sun Belt conference series and must now win game three to avoid missing out on the SBC Tournament.

Ben Soignier, Ryan McMillan, and Perry Smith each had two hits a piece in the loss. McMillan scored twice and Matt Laird had a two RBI night when he doubled in the top of the 7th.

Justin Anderson got the start for the Warhawks and took a no decision in 6.2 innings of work.
