Troy Sweeps ULM With 8-4 Victory

The ULM Warhawks are in danger of missing the Sun Belt Conference tournament after dropping an 8-4 decision to the Troy Trojans and getting swept in the process.

The ULM Warhawk baseball team no longer controls it's own destiny as to whether it will qualify for the Sun Belt Conference tournament. Losing 8-4 today and getting swept by the Troy Trojans, the Warhawks must now scoreboard watch next weekend while playing host to Houston-Baptist for a three game series.

ULM (26-24, 12-17) was led offensively at the plate by Boomer Blanchard and Ryan McMillan who both connected for two run homers but it wasn't enough. Troy collected 12 hits and jumped out to a 7-0 lead through the first six innings.

Don Williams took the loss for the Warhawks giving up seven runs on eight hits over 4.1 innings of work. For the Trojans, Jason Walls picked up the victory giving up just four hits and two runs over 6.1 innings of work. Walls struck out eight and walked just three.
