Warhawks Looking At Big Fish

Oxford prospect Jon Fisher talks about his experience at ULM's one day camp, how he faired against the competition, and what schools are persuing him.

FONT FACE="sylfaen">"This was my first visit to the city of Monroe and the campus of ULM. It was small and compact but very nice and clean. I didn't get a chance to tour too much but did see the weight room and that was impressive".

Jon Fisher, who projects as a guard at the college level, has now camped at ULM, Southern Miss, Ole Miss, and Mississippi State. "I still have Auburn, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas that I am going to make as well", said Fisher.

"I talked to Coach Vice and he was impressed with my technique. I ran my best shuttle that I have run while camping with a 4.91. Mainly we just went through drills and then had some 1 on 1's. I did pretty good, I threw a couple of guys to the ground".

I met most of the ULM coaching staff and head coach Weatherbie. I like that he is a good christian man and how he led a prayer before and after practice. Me being a christian it meant a lot to me to see that".

According to Jon, the Warhawks extended him an offer at the guard position. "It means a lot to get that first offer, ULM definitely has the upper hand right now but I am going to take all my visits and leave my options open".

Fisher is looking to major in business at the college level. He holds a 3.74 GPA which is in the top 15% of his classmates, and scored a 25 on his most recent ACT test.
