Houston Pruitt is no stranger to Monroe, Louisiana. Houston was born in Monroe and still has family in the Monroe are. "I am very familiar with town", said Houston. It has been awhile since I have been on the campus but I came up for a one day camp last week and was shocked".
"ULM was a lot bigger than I expected. I toured the campus and really liked what I saw. My family came with me and everyone was really good to us. The coaching staff at ULM really made us feel welcome".
"ULM offered me right after the camp" said Pruitt. The Warhawks join Tulsa as the two schools that have offered Houston a scholarship".
Springdale is about six hours away from Monroe, will distance from home play a factor?
"Definitly not, I had planned to get away from home anyways".
Where do the Warhawks stack up as far as a contender for your services?
"Right now ULM is on top. They have a really good coaching staff and play in a good conference. I also like the academics at ULM, they are going to really push you in the class room to make sure you stay on track. ULM's program is on it's way up, they are not afraid to play the big time schools, I like that".
"I would like to make a decision before the season starts. In addition to the ULM camp, Houston has camped at Arkansas State and might attend a camp at Memphis.
With the Warhawks losing three of their starting safeties to graduation after this season, ULM has itself in a good postion to land Houston. Stay tuned to Warhawk Nation as we contiue to bring you updates on Houston's recruitment.
