Warhawks Waiting On Hamm

Leesville high school wideout Jeron Hamm gives us the latest on where he stands with his college recruitment. With one offer in hand, where do the Warhawks stand?

With school started back Leesville wide reciever Jeron Hamm is still holding an offer from the ULM Warhawks that he picked up over the summer.

"ULM is still my only offer", said Hamm. Schools like Tulane, Auburn, Louisiana-State, and LaTech want to see my first couple of game films to evaluate me further".

Hamm caught just 8 passes in 2008 but figures to be a much more thrown to target in 2009. "Coach David Feaster is our new head coach. He came over from Sulpher Springs Tx. We will run mostly from the spread offense but also some out of the I-Formation".

Hamm was recently back on the campus of ULM and got to take a closer look while he was there. "I came up with one of my teammates Will Graves for a camp and got to see the facilities and visit with the coaching staff".

"I really like ULM and they are one of my top schools but I wasn't ready to commit to them quite yet".

As for Hamm and Lessville, they had a scrimmage Friday night against Captain Shreve. "I had a pretty good night with 60 yards on 5 catches. We looked good but we need to get more physical".

Leesville will open it's season September 4th when they host the West Monroe Rebels. Jerom is looking good in the classroom holding a 3.4 GPA and scoring a 22 on his ACT.
