ULM Fans Holding Breath On Revell Health

The Warhawks 16-10 victory over Arkansas State came with a heavy price last night as ULM starting quarterback Trey Revell left the contest with an injury to his throwing hand. Warhawk Nation has also has breaking news on Hawk linebacker James Truxillo.

The victory was a costly one. ULM lost starting quarterback Trey Revell in the 2nd quarter to an apparent thumb injury on his throwing hand. Revell returned to the sidelines in the 3rd quarter wearing a hard cast on the injured hand.

In that same 3rd quarter the Warhwks also lost their defensive captain in senior Hawk safety James Truxillo. James returned to the ULM lineup this year after suffering a season ending ACL injury at Arkansas in week 2 of the 2008 season.

Truxillo was helped from the field but Warhawk Nation has learned that Truxillo could be lost for the season with an injury to his other knee. Trux is scheduled for an MRI today with hopes that it is just an hyper extension and not season ending.

Other Nicks & Bruises

ULM running back Frank Goodin took a hard shot on ULM's final drive and left the game. He was replaced by Rodney Lovett for three plays but returned later in the drive. We will monitor this situation but it seems Frank will be ok.

There was a big hush over the crowd late in the 4th quarter when DE Aaron Morgan went down and stayed down for several minutes. Morgan was helped to his feet but walked off the field under his own power and returned to the game a few plays later to help thwart the ASU comeback.
