ULM's James Sets Interception Record

ULM safety Greg James set a career high Saturday night with 3 interceptions and broke team, conference, and moved back into #1 as the nations active leader.

ULM safety Greg James picked off 3 passes against North Texas to become the Warhawks and the Sun Belt Conference's all-time leader. James big day also regained him the lead among active players in the NCAA with 16 career interceptions.

James who will win the Sun Belt Conference's defensive player of the week as well as the Louisiana player of the week was also recognized by the College Football Performance Awardas their defensive player of the week.

The awards don't stop there for Greg. James also picked up an ESPN Helmet Sticker for his performance against North Texas. Teammate LaGregory Sapp was an honorable mention for his 7 catch 187 yard 2 touchdown performance.

James, who is from Monroe, La, played locally at Carroll high school. He was a one star recruit according to Scout.com in 2005.
