O-Lineman Visits Warhawks

The Warhawks are looking at a couple of more prospects in hopes they will jump on board with Jon Fisher and Antonio Johnson as future offensive linemen at ULM.

If the Warhawks ever had an advantage on a particular recruit, Trinity Valley offensive lineman Patrick Dvoracek might fit the bill.

It's how Patrick found his way to Trinity Valley and the steps he took before he was there. "I have already played for Coach Vance Vice so I know him very well", said Patrick Dvoracek.

"This is actually the second time Coach Vice has recruited me", joke Dvoracek. He recruited me to Utah State where I committed back in 2007.

Playing for Coach Vice one year he knows what I bring to the table and what I am capable of. I already know the calls on the offensive line and what to expect playing under him".

Patrick (6'4.5 325) held an offer from Utah and TCU out of high school but at the last minute was dropped by TCU opening the door for Utah State to scoop him up. "I committed really early to TCU and I think that was my downfall. By the time they let me go almost all the schools were full".

"Coach Vice is a great O-line coach and I would love to play for him again. I am just not going to jump the gun this time around".

Patrick was a first team academic all district as a senior in high school and finished his senior season with an overall grade of 95% on the offensive line with 75 knockdowns and 48 pancakes. He has a bench over 375 and squats in the 550-600 range and is quick for a big man with a 5.1 forty time.

"I got to Monroe a little early so I could take the entire city and campus in. I have never been to Louisiana before today. I can tell you that I got a real homely feel, a friendly family atmosphere at ULM. Pretty exciting game as well that ULM won".

Recruiting has heated up once again for Patrick as well. ULM, SFA, Carlton State, have all offered and Rutgers, Toledo, and Utah are in contact with him as well.

"ULM is at the top of my list right now", said Patrick. It doesn't matter to me if I go Divison 1 or 2 I just want to get on the field. A lot of people tell me I need to go D-1 because my first cousin Dusty Dvoracek played at Oklahoma and now the Chicago Bears.

Warhawk fans are very familiar with the Bears organization as they have drafted 3 ULM prospect's in the last 6 years. (Joel Stelly, Chris Harris, Kevin Payne) Former ULM receiver Marty Booker spent several years with Chicago and now plays for the Atlanta Falcons.

Dvoracek plans a return visit to ULM for an official visit when the Warhawks take on the Blue Raiders of Middle Tennesse on November 28th.

Look for more updates on Patrick as well as another teammate of his that has also been offered by the Warhawks in 6'6 320 pound Marcus Banks.
