Sun Belt Conference Top 10 Signings

Two of the nations Top 100 Quarterbacks will advertise their skills in the Sun Belt Conference while 3 of's Top 100 Middle Linebackers also made the Sun Belt Conference their future home. One Sun Belt team had one of the biggest steals on signing day in all of FBS.

Compared to the last three recruiting classes, the Sun Belt had a bit of a down year in the final conference standings as they finished with 474 points. The MAC was the closest conference with 634 points, followed by the WAC with 718. The conference signed 44 juco prospects, tied with the WAC for most in the FBS. Troy and North Texas led the way with 10 each. Teams this year focused more on the defensive side of the ball as the conference signed 111 players from that side of the ball opposed to 84 on offense.

Still the conference has much to be proud of in 2010 as they landed 13 of's Top 100 players in their respective positions. The conference signed 12 three star prospects with Arkansas State leading the way with three. Warhawk Nation takes a look at the Top 10 plus two below.

Top Offense Signing

Center #24 Josh Allen - ULM

Josh is the 24th ranked center in the nation according to A verbal commitment to Minnesota, Josh had second thoughts about distance from home and committed to the ULM Warhawks. Allen was a member of the USA team that defeated The World team 17-0 in South Florida. Allen played Center, Tackle, Guard, and TE in one game showing how versatile he is. He looks to be an immediate impact player for the Warhawks.

Top Defensive Signing

MLB #81 Quashaun Lee - Arkansas State

The Red Wolves went south into Alabama and snuck one of the states best out in MLB #81 Quashaun Lee. Sun Belt conference members will get to know this 6'0 225 pounder over the course of the next four years.

Top Special Teams Signing

Kicker #12 Zach Olen - North Texas

Kickers, they don't get much attention until the game is on the line. The Mean Green hope that the 12th ranked kicker in the nation Zach Olen will add several victories to North Texas during his career.

Biggest Signing Day Steal

WR #33 Willis Wright - Florida International

As if Florida International doesn't already have the best wide receiver in the Sun Belt in T.Y. Hilton, they just got more dangerous when they stole Willis Wright on signing day. Talk about a nightmare trying to defend both of these guys. Top 10 (Plus 3) Sun Belt Signings
