When Warhawk Nation caught up with local standout wide receiver Justin Ginyard, he already had big news to share.
"I had a huge summer of camps lined up", said Ginyard. I've already been to ULM and Louisiana Tech. I was going to Louisiana-Lafayette on Thursday, Mississippi State on Saturday, Tulane on the 22nd, and Alabama sometime in July.
Those plans however have changed just a bit as Ginyard told Warhawk Nation that he had even bigger plans this morning.
"My coach and I are going to ULM today to meet with Coach Farmer and Coach Berry and I am committing to the Warhawks", said Justin.
Ginyard, who measures in at 6'2 and 205 pounds is one of the most physical wide outs in the state of Louisiana and is poised to shatter his 2009 numbers.
"ULM saw my film, invited me to camp, and offered me a scholarship a couple of days later".
"I really think ULM is really fixing to get this program rolling and play in some bowl games", said Ginyard. The coaching staff in really what sold me on the program. I know a lot of players try and hold out and wait for programs to offer and then it's too late. That isn't going to happen to me".
In ULM Justin also finds a program that will utilize his skills as a receiver in their no huddle fast passes offense.
"That's what I was looking for. That's what we run at Ouachita and that is what I am used to". A slow paced offense is really not for me".
Ginyard will also team up with a former Lion and current linebacker Cameron Blakes again. "That's going to be great. Cam was the first person to come up to me when I came to Ouachita and welcome me to the team. He is a great leader".
Justin is academically qualified with a 18 on his ACT and a 2.8 core GPA.
