Tech vs. Navy Draws Key Recruits

James McFarland, Terrell Lathan, James Rushing, and Josh Martin were some of the big names in attendance at the Louisiana Tech-Navy game last week.

The four defensive ends were not the only highly recruited players to attend. Several from Northeast Louisiana made the short drive over to Ruston.

West Monroe standouts Michael Hunter and Tyler Cain were in the house on Saturday to check out Louisiana Tech. They brought juniors James McFarland , Terrell Lathan , and Hunter Tyler with them. Lathan was recently added to the Scout.com Top 100 for the Class of 2012. All five Rebel players seemed to have a good time.

Earl Ross Downs made the trip down from Bastrop. River Oaks standout Vincent Moore was at the game sporting a cast on his foot. He said he should be in a protective boot soon and he should be able to play again in about six weeks.

Southern Lab's Ezekiel Alsander might have been the biggest recruit in attendence. The giant offensive tackle holds offers from Louisiana Tech and Memphis among others.

Out of state defensive ends Josh Martin and James Rushing each have several offers and have Tech in their top schools. Getting these highly recruited players to travel the distance they did to see the Bulldogs speaks highly of the strides the program has made.
