Isham Wants the Right Fit

"I want to play as much as I can, as soon as I can. I love the game." – Nick Isham

Westlake HS (California) Quarterback Nick Isham knows what he's looking for in a college program. Now it's up to the right-handed signal caller to go find the right one. "I'm visiting LA Tech this weekend," said Isham. "It's still tentative, but I'm going to New Mexico State next weekend and Penn the following week."

Could Isham commit after just one visit? "I'm going to consider all my options," he explained. "If I like what I see, I might commit. It all depends. I'm looking for the right fit. I'm looking for everything to come together."

Isham threw for just short of 3,000 yards and 34 yards his senior season at Westlake. He ran the spread offense, which requires mobility of the quarterback. Isham added 5 touchdowns and over 500 yards on the ground. "I prefer the spread," added the 6'0" senior. "but I have to look at everything. I want to play as much as I can, as soon as I can. I love the game."

Despite holding offers from teams from the Mountain West and other WAC programs, Isham is taking his first visit to a team that recently entered the mix, Louisiana Tech. "I didn't know much about the school when Coach (Tony) Franklin first called," admitted Isham. "He came out for a home visit yesterday, so I got to meet him in person. It went really good."

Bulldog fans hope Isham's official visit to Tech goes well too. He seems like a perfect fit for Louisiana Tech's offense. It all depends on the visit, so check back next week to see how it went.
