"Tulsa had a coach come by today," said the 6'5" 285 offensive tackle. "I just got off the phone with the recruiting coordinator from Utah." Alsander has barely been able to get back into some sort of routine following a trip to South Carolina to play in the All-World Gridiron Classic, where he played left tackle for the winning team. He also is scheduled to play in the upcoming Louisiana-Mississippi All-Star Game.
With signing day approaching, Alsander is now in the process of setting up official visits. "I'm scheduled to visit Louisiana Tech and I'm going to visit Southeastern (Louisiana)," explained Alsander. "Coach Perot from Tech has been talking to me about getting up there for a visit. He already talks to me like I'm one of his players."
Alsander also has offers from Memphis, ULL, and Southern. He had been receiving heavy interest from Memphis and Larry Porter, but he hasn't heard from them very recently. With other Conference USA teams like Tulsa, Houston, and Southern Miss in pursuit; Alsander will have plenty of options inside and outside of his home state.
