Brown attended the Bulls' Junior Day over the weekend.
"My family took its own tour driving around the campus," he began. "It's the ninth-largest campus in the nation, so they don't give the prospects a full tour. They showed us pictures.
"When we went into the facility where the Junior Day was held, I saw my recruiter and he brought me on back to see the head coach (Skip Holtz) and the defensive line coach. The D-line coach told me they love my arm length. They measured my arms and said they love my size and figure.
"Then, they took me back to Coach Skip's office. He told me he loved my character and that he's been watching me since I was a sophomore. He said the most important thing was that I take my school work seriously. He said a lot of players claim to take school importantly, but that few actually show up in the classroom."
At that point, Holtz broke the good news to Brown.
"Coach said he loves the way I use my hands," said Brown. "He said, 'Right now, I'm offering you a full scholarship to South Florida.'
"I was smiling. I didn't want to go crazy, but I felt like jumping up and down. Right now, my immediate plans are to train seriously at Velocity, so I get bigger, faster, and stronger and help my team."
