Grogan reports two offers

Central Catholic junior Lloyd Grogan simply dominates the game (both football and basketball) at the Class A level, and the 6-foot-1, 210-pound strong safety reports two scholarship offers.

"I have offers from Louisiana Tech and Texas A&M," said Lloyd Grogan, the junior from Central Catholic (Morgan City, La.). Coach (Pierre) Ingram is recruiting me for Tech. We have some coaches from Tech, so that's one reason they've been on me for awhile.

"I went to Junior Day at LSU and they're my favorite. Coach (John) Chavis is recruiting me for LSU. Texas A&M and Tech are the main ones showing me love, and I've also been hearing some from Alabama."

Last year, Grogan (6-1, 210, 4.5) helped the Eagles to an 11-2 mark. On offense, he gained 701 yards on 101 carries with 15 touchdowns. On defense, the junior racked up close to 70 tackles with 20 behind the line of scrimmage. He also picked off two passes and amassed 432 yards on punt returns.

He's equally talented on the hardwood, averaging 26 points per game for the Eagles' basketball team, which reached the quarterfinals. CCMC also advanced to the quarterfinals in football.
