Harris is on a roll

Tylor Harris, the junior DE from Episcopal (Baton Rouge), seems to do everything well. Read further to get the latest news on Harris, who holds an offer from Louisiana Tech.

"I finished fourth out of over 900 people at the Nike SPARQ Combine held in Mobile last weekend," said Tylor Harris. "I did better than I first thought. I had a SPARQ rating of 104.04.

"Today, I finished first in the shot put and discus at our first outdoor track meet, which was at Catholic (BR). Our next meet is on Thursday. We host it, and it's called the Round Table (Episcopal's mascot is the Black Knight)."

And that's not all. Harris recently scored a 1473 on his SAT and also won the Overall MVP (and Defensive Line MVP) at the recent Baton Rouge Underclassmen Combine.

"I had fun," said Harris, when asked about his NUC performance. "I just went out there and did my best. I relaxed and competed, and everything turned out really well."

Harris, who is an elite, nationally-renowned track & field star, has a football offer from Louisiana Tech, and he's garnering interest from LSU, Texas A&M, Notre Dame, and Nebraska.

"I've been getting constant attention from Nebraska," he said. "I'm going to Louisiana Tech's Junior Day on April 2nd, followed by LSU's spring game and Texas A&M's Junior Day.

"I also have the final round of the tryouts for the Team USA vs. The World game coming up soon. Those will take place in Atlanta."
