Vanderbilt Offers Bourque

Crowley junior RB Davante' Bourque added his fifth scholarship offer today when Vanderbilt extended an offer to the Louisiana athlete.

"I just got off the phone with coach Brent Pry," said Kirk Landry, who is Bourque's father. "Pry is the linebackers coach/co-defensive coordinator for Vanderbilt University. They offered Davante'.

"Davante' and I will be making the trip to Vanderbilt University next weekend for Junior Day."

Bourque also holds offers from Texas A&M, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Arkansas.

Last year, Bourque rushed for over 2,000 yards in leading the Gents to the second round of the Class 3A playoffs. In the first round, He gashed Loyola's defense for 250 yards rushing and three TDs on only 12 carries. Bourque earned first-team all-state honors for the year.
