"Houston offered (teammate) Tre'Von (Stewart) when he went over there a couple of weeks ago. I didn't go, but they called me two or three days later and also offered me."
"Tre'Von is going to UL's Junior Day, but I don't think I'm going to make that," said Declouet. "We're both going to LSU, though. Coach Frank (Wilson) called my dad the other day and said he wants Tre'Von and me to go watch them practice this weekend. They also want us to go to their camp, but they've been saying that for awhile."
Stewart and Declouet took over the UA Combine in Jacksonville.
"We did good," said Declouet, in an understatement. "We did good in the one-on-one drills, but there was a lot of speed there.
"There's a lot of speed in Florida. On the first day, I went against 12-to-15 defensive backs, and they keep putting better DBs up against you. The second day, I went against 6-to-8 more."
At the conclusion of the combine, there was only one WR and one DB remaining at the top of the heap: Declouet and Stewart.
"We're going to the Under Armour Combine in Atlanta and the one in New Orleans," said Declouet. "After that, we're probably done with combines."
