McKenzie Visits Memphis

Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie continued his travels yesterday, as the junior visited the University of Memphis. What was his reaction? Is McKenzie's sixth offer going to come from the Tigers?

"It went good," said Jaborian McKenzie (aka "Tip"). "I watched practice and met the coaches. They didn't tell me which position I'd play, they asked me which position I wanted to play.

"I told them slot and running back, and they told me to look for an offer in a couple of days. They're changing up their offense - getting a new style - and are working to get the athletes they want in their program."

McKenzie was surprised by a couple of things.

"They had four practice fields and the biggest weight room I've ever seen," said McKenzie. "It was bigger than the SEC weight rooms that I've seen."

Which schools are currently at the top of McKenzie's board?

"Nobody is at the top right now," he explained. "I'm going to visit the schools that I want to see, find the school that's the right fit for me, and then make a decision.

"I want to visit Vanderbilt and Ole Miss. I'm planning on making a decision on where to commit by the end of the summer."

McKenzie led Trinity Episcopal (Natchez, Ms.) to an unblemished (15-0) season in 2010, racking up close to 3,000 all-purpose yards along the way.
