"I'm going to Louisiana Tech's spring game on April 23, and I'm also planning to go to Tulsa's spring game. I was invited to UL's Junior Day this weekend, but I can't make it due to a track meet."
Last weekend, Morgan finished first in the 300 meters in the Catholic-BR meet.
"I finished third in the long jump," he said. "I also run the 110 meter hurdles, but I didn't run in that event last weekend."
Morgan has a busy schedule over the next few months.
"I'm on a 7-on-7 team with Davante' Bourque, Tyre Bracken, Jordan Batiste, Daniel Taylor, Travin Dural, Devon Breaux, and a few other guys," he said. "I'm also going to camp at LSU, Georgia Tech, and possibly Texas A&M. Louisiana Tech has a one-day camp in Baton Rouge and I'll probably make that."
What are recruiters telling Morgan about a potential scholarship offer?
"They're saying that they want to see my vertical movement before offering," he said.
Morgan certainly moves wide receivers and ball carriers out of their comfort zone on the field. His devastating hit of a Denham Springs WR last season sent shockwaves across the state, as the game was broadcast live on TV.
The vicious hit has been replayed time-and-again by fans on YouTube. Morgan finished last season with 90 tackles in a hybrid LB/SS role.
