Pretty Talented Walk-Ons

Vincent Moore confirmed he plans to walk on at Louisiana Tech. Two other highly decorated players are reported to have the same plans.

Hunter Lee, from Flower Mound, TX, suprisingly had no offers to play FBS football. The District 8-5A MVP had over 2800 yards of offense and 34 touchdowns from his running back position. Lee rushed for 1373 yards and 23 touchdowns while averaging 7.23 yards per carry. The 6'0" athlete added 1434 yards receiving and 11 touchdown receptions.

Blake Martin, from Lovejoy High Schiool near Allen, TX, is another Dallas area running back with MVP honors and a 7.2 yards per carry average. Martin was named the 11-3A MVP after rushing for 1078 yards and 16 touchdowns. Martin carried a 7.19 yards per carry average for a Lovejoy team that outscored their opponents by a combined 281-28.

There are reports that both Lee and Martin, who is also a 6'0" running back, have decided to walk on at Louisiana Tech.

Vincent Moore was recently named MVP of MIAS District 6-2A in Basketball. He was on his way to having a great season in football before a season ending injury in week 3. Still Moore had 6 receptions for 143 yards and 4 touchdowns in just 3 games for River Oaks.

Moore turned heads last summer by running extremely well at the FCA Combine in West Monroe, LA as well as a summer camp at SMU. Before his injury, Moore had received offers from ULL, ULM, and McNeese State over the summer. Louisiana Tech and SMU were paying very close attention.

Moore had over 1,000 yards of offense and just over 20 total touchdowns as a junior. He told that he plans to walk on at Tech as a safety. The 6'1" athlete had over 60 tackles to go with three interceptions as a junior.

It is unclear what positions Lee and Martin will play. Lee will most likely be given a try at running back.

No matter what position, Louisiana Tech is getting three very outstanding walkons.
