How does the 6-0, 200-pound prospect account for his success at inside linebacker?
"I work," he succinctly stated. "I'm a hard worker; that's it. In the weight room, I have a 315-pound bench press and a 405-pound squat. My power clean is 285. I run a 4.5 in the 40-yard dash.
"Last year, I had 116 tackles with 25 tackles for loss and two sacks. I also had two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery."
Taylor is still waiting on his first scholarship offer, but he thinks it may come soon.
"North Texas is telling me they will offer at their camp," said Taylor. "I understand that their head coach doesn't think I'm that big, so they want to see me in person.
"I like North Texas, ULL, Southeastern and Louisiana Tech the best. I'm going to try and camp at Louisiana Tech this summer."
Taylor will try to outduel another of Louisiana's best linebackers in October when Scotlandville squares off with Zachary HS and standout '13 LB Larry Cage.
