Hall Holds Two Offers

Find out which schools are recruiting St. Charles Catholic DB/WR Jeffrey Hall. Also, what are his summer plans? Hall batted .435 with 5 HRs for the Comets this spring. Will he play baseball or football in college (or both)?

"I got my first two offers last week," said Jeffrey Hall. "On Wednesday, Coach (Michael) Smith from Kansas State talked with Marcus Hall, Lazedrick Thompson, La'Jaylin Smith and myself. He shook our hands, told us he liked how we play, and said that he was offering all four of us.

"Tyronee (sic) Williams is recruiting me for Southeastern, and they've also offered. Minnesota, Louisiana Tech and Illinois have all been down here, and Coach (Michael) Norvell from Pitt is showing a lot of interest. North Texas is coming tomorrow."

Hall is off to a great start in 2011. In football, he was named to the Under Armour All-Combine Team at the event held in Mobile, Alabama (ran a 4.12 shuttle).

In baseball, Hall batted .435 with five homers for the Class 2A quarterfinalist Comets.

"I was second on the team in hitting," said Hall. "Our cleanup hitter batted over .500. This weekend, I tried out at an Under Armour Showcase for their travel team.

"I'll find out if I made the team on Tuesday. It's both a wooden and aluminum bat team. They tell you each game which type of bat you'll use.

"I would prefer to play both football and baseball in college, but if it comes down to it I'm concentrating on football."

Last year, Hall caught 26 passes for 453 yards and five touchdowns. He added 9 kickoff returns for 333 yards and two more scores (long of 99 yards). He finished the year with 914 all-purpose yards.
