Bilich has first offer, looking for more

Archbishop Rummel offensive lineman Dominick Bilich made a big splash on the camp and combine circuit this spring and as a result, he's holding one scholarship offer with more on the horizon. Read further to find out more.

"We finished school today and have our intrasquad scrimmage tomorrow to finish off spring training," said Dominick Bilich. "I mainly play offensive tackle for Rummel, but I'll also move around and play some guard and tight end this year.

"Most schools are recruiting me as either a guard or center. I pride myself on my technique and being physical and nasty. When our linemen (from Rummel) have gone to these camps, we've known what to do more than most of the linemen from other schools."

Bilich has been a beast on the camp and combine circuit this year.

"I was on the Under Armour All-Combine Team at the event held in Mobile, Alabama," he said. "I also made the All-Camp Team at the (Houston) Nike Football Training Camp, and I had the second-best (SPARQ) rating of the linemen at the New Orleans Under Armour Combine."

Thus, it's easy to see why Bilich is currently making waves in the recruiting world.

"Tulane has offered and that's my only offer, but I think LSU may be next," he said. "LSU came to our spring training twice and I'm attending their (Family Day) picnic this weekend. They've showed a lot of interest. Coach (Greg) Studawara has talked with me frequently.

"Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Arkansas, ULM, ULL, Cornell, Princeton, McNeese State and Nicholls State all came and watched us this spring."

What does Bilich think about local program Tulane?

"I'm going to camp there this summer," he said. "They offered first and they're recruiting well. They signed Dante' Butler, who was a really good back out of the Catholic League (Brother Martin). They signed another good running back from O.P. Walker (Robert Kelley), as well as some good players from St. Augustine.

"I'm also going to camp at LSU and a couple of other SEC schools."
