Mitchell advances to NUC Top Prospect Camp

Andrick Mitchell is a returning starter at quarterback for the Richwood Rams, but he's also making a name for himself at wide receiver, which is the position he expects to play in college...

"I went to the Ultimate 100 in Texas and made it to the next event, the NUC Top Prospect Camp," said Andrick Mitchell, the senior from Richwood (Monroe, La.) High School.

"I only dropped three passes the entire weekend and I ran a great 40 (4.53). The Top Prospect Camp will be next month in Oklahoma. It felt great to know I'm moving on to the next camp. I feel like I'm starting to get some good recognition."

Mitchell also plans to camp at Louisiana Tech and ULM later this summer. He's already attended one camp at each of those respective schools.

"The coaches at Tech and ULM want me to come back and camp with them again," said Mitchell. "I'm also planning on camping with Southern Miss, TCU and Mississippi State. I've been to UL and Northwestern (State) camp already.

"South Alabama is also showing a lot of interest. They asked for my highlight tape. I like Southern Miss, Texas A&M and Tech."

Richwood expects to have a big season with Mitchell, Tre Hunter and Trevion Goins all back in the fold for their senior seasons.

"Tre is really good," said Mitchell. "He has offers from ULM and Northwestern (State). He plays both corner and safety for us and does well in press man-to-man coverage.

"Trey (Goines), our center, will also play college football. He's nice. He's getting looks from UL, ULM and Tennessee."
