Bearden, one of the top teams in the area over the last few years, is led by 6'2" Quarterback Defonta Lowe. Lowe and Co. are coming off of a 40-0 beatdown of Woodlawn.
While Lowe recently committed to Arkansas, Dixon appears to be down to two teams. "What it's really going to boil down to is Memphis and LA Tech," explained Dixon, who plans to decide after the season.
What does Dixon like most about Louisiana Tech? "The coaching staff, the graduation rate, and they are close to home," he answered.
What does he like about Memphis? "The coaching staff and they are under center," admitted Dixon.
So how big of a deal is it to play for a team that is under center and not a spread offense? "Not very important," Dixon added, "but I do wish they (Tech) ran a little more."
While Tech down throw a lot of passes, they run a huge amount of plays. That high pace of offense (94 plays last week against Houston) allows them to still get in a good number of rush attempts.
Senior running back Lennon Creer went over 1,000 yards last year for Louisiana Tech and he is over 300 yards this season in just three games.
Strong linebacker Ariun Gatson is also being looked at by both schools and Dixon said he would really like to play college football with his high school teammate and God-brother.
Dixon recently made it to a Louisiana Tech home game. "They never quit, Dixon added about the Bulldogs. "The crowd was very supportive."
