"We started this season off with the goal of hosting a playoff game," added Savage. "We play Earle in the next round if we win." Earle has a first round bye.
Savage has a new team in the mix for his services. "Buffalo had a coach come to practice," he said. "He wanted to see me move around a little. They want me to come on an official visit."
With several teams lining up to get him on campus, Savage has started to set up his official visits. "I have an official visit to ULM on December 9th," said the 6-4 245-pound defensive end. "Quincy Hardwell ( El Dorado) and Ajalen Holley (Lakeside) are going to be there too." Holley is a ULM commitment.
With teams like ULM being so close and Buffalo being so far away, Savage has a wide array of schools to look at. "Location is a big deal," he admitted. "I have to feel comfortable there. My family has to be comfortable."
Savage said he is hearing from "All of the Louisiana schools" as well as Arkansas, Mississippi State, Arkansas State, Buffalo, and Missouri.
