2008 Football Schedule Released

A televised Wednesday night showdown on the blue turf in Boise highlights the 2008 WAC football schedule for Louisiana Tech. ESPN will carry the game on October 1st, a game that provides an opportunity for the Bulldogs to show exactly how far they have come in Coach Derek Dooley's second year.

Other conference road games include Hawaii on October 11th, San Jose Sate on November 8th, and New Mexico State on November 22nd. A November 1st dogfight highlights the Home portion of the schedule, with Fresno State invading Ruston. Other WAC home games are Idaho on October 18th, Utah State on November 15th, and Nevada on November 29th.
The 2008 schedule will bring a couple of firsts to Tech fans; for the first time since moving up to Division One FBS, Tech will have six home games and will host an opponent from the Southeastern Conference. In a game to be televised by ESPN or ESPN2, Mississippi State will visit on August 30th. The Bulldogs travel to Kansas on September 6th, and after an off week they return home to face FBS opponent Southeastern Louisiana. Coach Dooley will take his team to West Point on October 25th to play Army in a game to be televised on ESPN Classic or ESPNU.
