Mississippi Lineman Getting Interest

Justin Henry is a 6'5" 290 lb. offensive tackle for Coach Bill Hurst. Henry will be a senior this season and has heard from several schools.

BleedtechBlue.com talked to Coach Hurst this week. Centreville Academy just won their seventh State Championship and Coach Hurst's bio on the MPSA website credits him with 251 wins and only 64 losses prior to 2007.

"Justin has grown a lot this year, I honestly didn't expect him to get as big as he has," Coach Hurst admits. "Justin is up to 6'5" 290 lbs. and has his bench press up to 315."

When asked how Justin compares to former Centreville lineman and LSU star Will Arnold, Coach Hurst was hesitant to make that kind of comparison. "It's not fair to compare him to Will, but Justin is still growing. He has a lot of upside and his best football is ahead of him. Technique-wise, Justin might be at the same level Will was at this stage or maybe even slightly ahead."

Justin Henry is already getting noticed by plenty of Division 1 schools. "He is getting calls from Mississippi State, USM, and Troy State," mentioned Hurst. "He gets a letter every week or so from Auburn and Coach (Conroy) Hines at Louisiana Tech asked for film last week."

Coach Hurst says that Henry will play offensive tackle for him this year, but will also play a little defense. "Justin projects as an offensive lineman in college," Coach Hurst added. "He is fully qualified academically and he is very coachable."

Look for Justin Henry to start picking up offers soon. Check back with BleedTechBlue.com as we will follow Justin throughout the season.
