Bulldogs Sign Three

The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs added three new players to the class of 2008.

David Jackson's fax came in today, joining Jamel Guyton and Brandon Gibson.

Jackson, a forward from Mesa Community College, has two years of eligibility remaining. Guyton, a shooting guard from Odessa College, also has two years to play.

Brandon Gibson, a 6'6" wing player from Marianna, FL, is a high school recruit.

Associate Head Coach Nikita Johnson previously coached at Odessa College and Chipola Junior College. Tech is also waiting on the decision of Vernon Teel, a guard for Chipola. Chipola College is in Marianna, FL and Johnson has relationships there that led to Gibson's signing.

Jackson originally signed with the University of New Orleans, where Johnson was an assistant coach at the time. Jackson ended up playing his freshman year at the University of Idaho, before transferring to Mesa.

Coach Rupp and staff are also waiting on a fifth player's decision. BleedTechBlue recently reported about a high school guard that could make a big impact in Ruston. Both the high school guard and Vernon Teel are expected to make their decisions soon.
