Hunsaker Learns Destination

Holton Hunsaker will be serving on his church mission. The point guard from Utah talked to about his destination.

"I am going to Fiji, which is pretty fortunate," said Hunsaker. "I will be able to play a little basketball and stay in shape."

Holton Hunsaker is somewhat familiar with Fiji, a small island nation near Austrailia. Russell Wesley, a native of Fiji, played for Holton's father, Dick Hunsaker, at Utah Valley State.

"I also had a high school teammate from Fiji, Marques Whippy," explained Hunsaker. "He plays for BYU-Hawaii now." Whippy and Hunsaker played together at Woods Cross High School in Utah.

Hunsaker said he would leave in July and he believes he will get to visit his family at least once during his two year mission. "i will get back in July, 2010 and have a little time to try and get back in basketball shape," he said. "I don't plan on getting too much out of shape anyway."

Hunsaker ended the conversation by saying he was leaving to do what he loves, play basketball. I have a feeling he will play his fair share of the game before he arrives in Ruston in 2010.

Good luck Holton, we will see you before you know it.
