Trio from East St. John Visits Louisiana Tech

Alex Singleton has a message for college coaches everywhere.

"I am not a fullback," said Alex Singleton. "I am a running back." Singleton stepped on the scale at the Tech fieldhouse and weighed in at 230 pounds. The 6'0" member of the 2009 class is a very strong looking player, and will surely see his recruitment pick up as the season approaches.

Singelton holds an offer from South Alabama and Northern Illinois. He is getting big interest from Tulsa, Mississippi State, and UConn. He sais he really liked Louisiana Tech and he wants to major in Engineering, something that Tech is known for nationwide.

Patrick Lewis is close to a decision. The 6'2" 295 pound lineman is down to five schools: Louisiana Tech, Texas A&M, USM, Tulsa, and UConn.

"I will make my decision soon," said Lewis. "I don't really have a favorite but Louisiana Tech is definitely in the mix." Lewis says that he can play center or guard in college, but he plays right tackle for East St. John.

Bryson James is a very physical looking prospect. James weighs in at 200 pounds and plays linebacker for Coach Larry Dauterive. The 6'1" James said that most schools are looking at him as a safety.

Bryson is getting interest from Tech, South Alabama, Northern Illinois, and Tulsa. He wants to major in business and he really liked what he saw at Louisiana Tech.

All three players are ready to get the season going. Along with DT Romelle Jones, the players at East St. John plan to make a deep run in this years playoffs. I would not bet against them.
