The Wildcats had a two headed tandem at running back last season, with Dexter Toney and Justin Billings splitting time. The two players each had 11 touchdowns and combined for over 1600 yards on less than 300 carries.
Toney plans to visit Ole Miss this weekend. He is getting the most interst from Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State, Missouri State, and Grambling.
"Mississippi State is sending a lot of stuff," said Toney. "I went there last week."
Toney had planned to go to camp at the University of Arkansas last Saturday. "I might go up there with Justin Billings and Greg Carter," he added. "They were supposed to come to Ruston with me, but I ended up coming by myself."
El Dorado lost to Sylvan Hills in the first round of the playoffs last season. Practice starts on August 4th and the Wildcats have a big home matchup with rival Camden on September 5th.
With all the speed on both sidelines, it should be an exciting game. Toney is confident that El Dorado will even the score from last season. "It's our turn," he said.
