Morris Claiborne Profile

Louisiana Tech is in the mix for the talented Shreveport area standout.

Morris Claiborne was recently named to the New Orleans Times-Picayune Top 25 Blue-Chip List. "Really," he said. "I didn't even know that."

That is exactly the kind of response you would expect from the low key Claiborne. He seems to take everything in stride, especially football recruiting.

What is not low key is the list of schools that are after the Fair Park quarterack. "I have offers from Louisiana Tech, Nebraska, and Texas A&M," said Claiborne. "I'm hoping to get an offer from LSU."

Claiborne recently attended camp at LSU and also stopped by camp at Tech for one day. "It was nice," he said of his stop in Ruston. "I enjoyed it."

Fair Park didn't have a lot of success last season, but they have hopes of better things to come in 2008. " We installed a new offense," added Claiborne. "I played both quarterback and receiver last year and I will play mostly quarterback this year."

Morris said he would like to take official visits to Tech, A&M, and Nebraska. He also said that he would like to play receiver at the next level.

Fair Park opens the season at home against rival Booker T. Washington on September 5th.
