OP Walker Spotlight

OP Walker is one of the top teams in the state–and loaded with prospects.

After rushing for over 200 yards and three touchdowns in his team's first win, Tyrone Duplessis had to sit out against St. Augustine with a sprained knee. Torell Miller helped pick up the slack. Miller caught a touchdown pass, scored a two-point conversion, kicked two extra points, and had an interception in the win.

OP Walker is now 2-0 and still ranked in the top 3 in the state.

Duplessis has offers from BYU, UNC, USM, and Louisiana Tech. Miller has an offer from Louisiana Tech and Alabama is taking a look at the 6'3" safety. "He had the play of the week," said Head Coach Skip LaMothe of Miller's interception.

Linebacker Kendrick James has offers from Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Minnesota, UNC, and Louisiana Tech. Oklahoma is also looking at James. "He had seven tackles; two for a loss," added his coach.

"LSU invited all three of them to their next game and Colorado is also calling about them," said Coach LaMothe.

The Chargers take on Hahnville this week before returning home to face Archbishop Shaw and Edna Karr the following two weeks.
