John Hubert Update

John Hubert from Midway High School in Waco, TX was the MVP of District 16-4A in 2007.

According to Midway Coach Kent Bachtel, John Hubert has nothing standing in his way. "John is having a great year," said Coach Bachtel, "both on and off the field."

Hubert was the MVP of District 16-4A last season after rushing for over 1700 yards and 22 touchdowns. So far he does not have an offer from a bowl subdivision team.

"He offers from West Texas State and Alabama State," said Coach Bachtel. "Louisiana Tech is interested, but they were concerned about his grades. He is getting letters from all over the country."

Bachtel says that there should be no more concerns about Hubert's academic standing. "He recently knocked out his SAT test," explained his coach. "He should be qualified. I am confident he will make it."

Hubert suffered a minor injury against Crowley and missed some time. Since then, he has turned in two games with over 200 yards rushing each time.

John Hubert is a can't miss prospect on the field. Now that he is taking care of business in the classroom, it will be a great year for the talented running back.
