Two Sport Star Hearing from Tech.

Louisiana Tech will have a few scholarships to fill in 2010. One spot has been offered to an athlete from South Carolina.

Dylan Thompson, a 6'4" athlete from Boiling Springs High School outside Spartanburg, SC, is being recruited for football and basketball.

"I am undecided about which sport," said Thompson. "I will pray about it and wherever God leads me, that's what I'll do."

Thompson is being recruited by South Carolina, Clemson, Wofford, Santa Clara, and the College of Charleston for basketball along with Louisiana Tech. "Tech actually started recruiting me last year," explained Thompson. "I get four to five letters a week from them."

Thompson has an offer from Louisiana Tech for basketball, and says the Tech staff recruits him the hardest. While he has no offers for football yet, Thompson says he is getting a lot of interest from BCS schools.

"I hear from Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Duke," added the 6'4" quarterback. "I would say Stanford, Auburn, Gerogia, and Clemson are recruiting me the hardest.

Boiling Springs is off to a 5-1 start. Thompson threw nine touchdown passes in his first two games. Since then, Thompson broke his collarbone and missed two games. He is back now and ready to get going again.

As far as recruiting, Thompson wants to keep it simple. "I am looking for a place that I can feel at home and have a good relationship with the people there," explained Thompson.
