Anthony Miller has offers from Louisiana Tech, Tulsa, UNT, UTEP, Oklahoma State, Colorado State, and Michigan State. He has no favorites at the time and will wait until the end of his season to make a decision.
Miller plans to take in a few campus visits. His teammate, cornerback Jarvis Phillips, is also being heavily recruited. "It would be good to play together," said Miller. "I think we have offers from four of the same schools."
A few factors will help determine Miller's college choice. "Distance doesn't matter too much," he said. "It would be nice to be close to home, but it isn't the most imprtant thing. I want to major in business or education and I am looking for a program with tradition."
Miller is a big back at 6'0 220. He rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries last week against Kimball. A week earlier, he had 160 yards and two scores against Seagoville. Against Adamson, Miller had 129 yards rushing and a touchdown on only 10 carries.
Stan Eggen is recruiting Miller for Louisiana Tech. The former assistant at Texas A&M is recruiting several players in the Lone Star State. Miller admits he does not know a lot about Tech, but there could be a spot for him in the lineup. With former Diboll, TX star Ketauras Stanton not making it into Tech and with William Griffin transferring to Northwestern State, the Bulldogs could use a big back like Miller.
Only time will tell where Anthony Miller ends up, but we can be sure that he will take care of business on the field before he worries too much with recruiting.
